Description

Bobcat Ticket Office sits in the hottest event venue in Montana (Brick Breeden Fieldhouse). The Director of Ticket Operations is responsible for annual ticket sales estimated at $8 million for events ranging from MSU Bobcat Football to Broadway in Bozeman, and other special events and concerts. The Bobcat Ticket Office is part of Montana State University Sports Facilities and reports to the Associate Director of External Relations.

Oversees and supervises all human and physical resources of the operation while actively working to maintain a financially healthy organization.

• Ensures the highest quality of customer service for all patrons.
• Hires, trains, schedules, and supervises staff (1 full-time and up to 40 student/temporary employees).
• Primary manager of the computerized ticketing and credit card systems.

   

  • Design and maintain ticket stock inventory consisting of hard tickets, mobile tickets, and print at home tickets.
  • Builds all events managed through the ticketing system.
  • Ensures PCI compliance.
• Establishes department policies, procedures, and goals.
• Acts as event manager on “game days” and other events.
• Updates web sites with Bobcat Ticket office information.
• Responsibly develops and manages the operation’s budget.
• Primary oversight of contractual agreement with TicketsWest.
• Prepares financial settlements for events.
• Prepares computerized daily sales information and summary reconciliation reports for each event ticketed.
• Primary liaison with TicketsWest, Bobcat Athletics, Bobcat Sports Properties, other MSU departments, and outside clients and promoters.
• Primary oversite of the major ticket sales/season sales of Bobcat football including playoffs, Broadway in Bozeman, and other concerts and live entertainment.
• Ensures compliance with all Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Montana State University, Big Sky Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Actively participates as a member of the team while performing other duties in support of the department’s mission.
