Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas is seeking to hire a highly skilled and passionate Senior Specialist to oversee production and technical systems in our new Event Center. The Event Center Senior Specialist of Production & Technical Systems will serve as the lead expert responsible for managing all live event production and audiovisual systems within the Tarleton State Event Center. This role will play a critical part in ensuring exceptional event experiences, supporting a wide range of activities including NCAA men’s and women’s basketball competitions, concerts, touring shows, university functions, and more. The Event Center is scheduled to open in Fall 2025.

The successful candidate should have the ability to troubleshoot at the component level and provide operator assistance in all aspects of audio, video, lighting, knowledge of electrical safety and risk mitigation practices, knowledge of industry terminology, standard operational procedures, and standard technical requirements. Additional required skills include strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated record of establishing effective working relationships, both internal and external to the organization, ability to communicate effectively and articulately, and strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment. The successful candidate will be expected to be available for extended work schedules as required.
